The North American B-25 Mitchell was a WWII medium bomber named in honor of General Billy Mitchell, regarded by many as father of the United States Air Force. The B-25 was a versatile aircraft with excellent flying characteristics. The famous Doolittle raid on Japan in April 1942 utilized 16 B-25s taking off from the aircraft carrier USS Hornet (CV-8).
The B-25J was one of the most produced variants. This diecast metal model represents Briefing Time which belonged to the 340th Bomb Wing of the 12th Air Force in Italy.
