Paper airplanes were made as far back as in ancient China. But the most significant use of paper airplanes was by the Wright brothers, who employed them in creating their designs. The Wrights observed the flexing of their models in a wind tunnel and intuited that this could help them control the flight of an airplane. From these simple observations come the hinged aileron and elevator surfaces - which still guide modern aircraft. The Paper Airplane Earrings are designed and made in the USA by David Howell using solid brass, electro-plated with non-tarnishing silver finish with hypo-allergenic ear wires.
