The B-52 Cap portrays the Museum's B-52G in flight with B-52G STRATOFORTRESS above the aircraft and its serial number 59-2584 beneath.
The Museum's Boeing B-52G Stratofortress, U.S. Air Force serial number 59-2584, was built in 1960 and is one of 193 G-models produced. It saw service in Vietnam during Operation Linebacker II in December 1972.
Repainted in the camouflage scheme that it wore during its service in Vietnam, 59-2584 now serves as the centerpiece of the Museum's Vietnam Air War Veterans Memorial.
This aircraft is on loan to the Museum from the National Museum of The United States Air Force.
