The first widely used Boeing trademark -- the vertical, winged Boeing "totem" -- was designed in 1928 for use as a symbol for airline services. It appeared on Boeing aircraft through the 1930s, until it was replaced with the now familiar stratotype in 1947. This patch proudly harkens back to the early days of the Boeing Company.
