The Fisher Space Pen was developed for the Astronauts to write in the freezing cold, boiling heat, gravity-free void of Outer Space. The pen is used on all manned space flights - American and Russian, it uses a thixotropic, solid gel ink in a sealed, pressurized metal cartridge that stays clean and doesn't leak even under pressure. The revolving ball liquefies the ink, so that it writes more smoothly, more dependably and longer than most pens. It writes upside down, under water and over fingerprints.
