Southwest Boeing 737-800 Postage Stamp 1:300 Model
The 737-800 is a stretch version of the 737 Next Generation of
short to medium range narrow-body jet airliners. It replaced the
older 727-200 and the discontinued McDonnell Douglas MD-80
in most North American fleets. The 737-800 entered service in 1998.
Southwest Airlines is the world's largest low-cost airline. It was
founded in 1967 as a carrier flying only within Texas. As of 2018,
it had expanded to 101 destinations in the USA and carries the
most domestic passengers of any airline. Southwest has almost
exclusively flown Boeing 737 aircraft and is now the largest
operator of 737s.
