The rocket sled depicted represents the one used by Dr. John Paul Stapp in 1954 to set a land speed record of 632 mph in five seconds, earning him the title of the Fastest Man Alive. His story is covered in the exhibit.
The metal sign measures approximately 14.75 inches tall by 13.25 inches wide and has two small holes with brass grommets for easy mounting.
