The Museum of Flight opened the Vietnam Veterans Memorial Park in 2019. The Museum's Boeing B-52G Stratofortress, restored to its Vietnam era appearance, along with a statue of a returning airman, serve as the focal points.
The Memorial originated from a reunion of six U.S. Air Force crewmen who flew the Museum's B-52G on the opening night of Operation Linebacker II in 1972. Nestled between the Museum's Aviation Pavilion and the Duwamish Waterway, the Memorial honors all American service members who served in the Vietnam War between 1961 and 1975.
This light weight lacquered brass ornament measures 3.75 X 1.75 inches.
